About the Author
Susan Scott grew up in rural Missouri where she was active in 4-H club, and all that her school had to offer. She owned and exhibited Holstein cows. She was Betty Croker Homemaker of Tomorrow in 1956. She attended Florida Southern College, two years, as a journalism major.
She has lived in Denver, CO, Springfield & Columbia, MO, Alexandria, VA and Tempe, AZ. She and her husband, Howard Anderson, have done extensive travel all over the world.
Diagnosed with rare Carcinid/Endocrine Cancer in 1995 after an eight year search. She was the first Carcinoid Cancer patient to put up and maintain a web page, that was April 1997. Then she wrote her story in the memoir published in May 2013 "Becoming Sunny Susan". That book tells of her life before cancer, how it prepared her to be the first Carcinoid patient with a web page, how she became an activist for Carcinoid/NETs awareness, and an example of someone who is really LIVING a full active life with cancer, and with books, book discussion groups, art, music, travel and writing two books! "Becoming Sunny Susan" and "Pioneers Past and Present: A Family History".
She resides in Tempe, AZ with Howard her husband of 43 years. She is a news "junkie" and loves politics and keeping up with world affairs. Now that both books have been published she'll have more time to read books.
