What would happen if your typical fairytale magical princess was extra magical and as bratty as they come? Princess Lucinda: Black Rose of the is a funny, sometimes serious and sometimes dark look at the fairytale princess trope set in modern times and spanning multiple worlds. the art in the book is bold and colorful and very cinematic making both the action and intmant scenes jump off the page. The writing and the story is great with dialogue that can be both heartbreaking and fun. Princess Lucinda is a princess you will love to hate and hate to love. A three-dimensional anti-heroine /villain who is equally sinister and smart. The rest of the characters are equally interesting especially Lucinda's older Sister who wants nothing to do with her heritage. Occasionally the dialogue gets a bit wordy and the panels crowded but beyond that, there are no issues. One last thing, the book comes with appendixes that cover the world culture and more presented in the book. Recommended for people who like things dark and fun.
