The Genesis Strain returned, not so unexpected by certain members of the Crisis Team. It was inevitable the day would come. Professor Cadman and Bobby Simpson knew it was inevitable, but deep down, they also knew it was unstoppable. The last time they managed to contain it before it spread to other counties, this time, they didn't have a chance.

Ten further counties were breached as the crisis spread, the death toll rose at an alarming rate, and the infected species grew. Those in power agreed there was only one hope of stopping the monster they created, create another to destroy the first. So that's what they did.

About the Author

It wasn't until the 1980's that I developed an interest in writing. I wanted to write a horror novel, so I did. The Beast was the title. It didn't read very well but I enjoyed writing the story, it gave me pleasure knowing I had actually managed to complete it. The 2nd novel I wrote was RANA. I did try and place it with a publisher, I'm not sure I even knew about agents back then. It wasn't accepted so my interest subsided. There followed a bad period in life when I lost my wife and my mom within a few weeks of each other, both having cancer. But some time later I met my wife to be, Angie, and as odd things happen in life, she had just completed a writing course at college.

We joined the Wrekin Writers Group, went to day courses for short story writing, and even went on writers' holidays. Back in full swing and having written loads of short stories, I thought it's time for another novel. The Darker Side of Midnight became my third book in the horror genre. Still couldn't place it with a publisher.

And then Amazon Kindle arrived, not that I knew much about it. A friend from the writers group, who was a successful non-fiction writer, placed his work on kindle and told me how to go about it. What the hell, I put the Darker Side of Midnight on there. Then I re-wrote RANA and put that on kindle, followed by Darker Still, RANA II, The ID, and my first venture into crime fiction, The Knock-on Effect. As I write this I'm 80,000 words into RANA III, so that should be available on kindle very soon.

Let me just say, I'm no literary master like Stephen, Dean and others, I never will be. But what I lack in literary mastery, I try and bridge the gulf with good fun horror with something happening all the time which hopefully gives the reader a fun ride at little cost. I stay away from supernatural stories, zombies and werewolves and vampires, there's plenty of great books out there if that's what you like, but I like to write about what I like to read about. Hopefully, if you read one of my books, you will like it, too.
