Rant and Roar

Rant and Roar

by Great Big SeaGreat Big Sea

5 New & Used Starting at $1.99

Essentially a compilation for the U.S. market, where the first three albums were unreleased, Rant and Roar samples tracks from the more commercially oriented second and third albums. While some great tracks are missing (notably a few from the first album), the songs included on this collection nevertheless provide a pretty representative and enjoyable retrospective.

I have only been to one of Great Big Sea's concerts but it was amazing. I was in the front row with my cousin and I got a guitar pick but I gave it to my cousin cus I din't want to be mean and am mad at myself for that. I have not heard this cd but I have 8 of their cds and one of their dvd's and I am really looking forward to their new dvd Alan doyle is soooo hott and talented, Bob Hallett is sooo talented, Sean McCann has such a nice soft voice and is very handsome and Darrell Power has such a deep voice. I love Great Big Sea and their music.I just started to listen to their music about six months ago. My freinds definatly hear a lot about Great Big Sea from me!!!! Now I really want to go to Newfoundland.

much like the oysterband but faster paced and younger. Do covers of many songs. some traditional stuff, an oysterband song and an rem song. some of their own stuff isn't as good as the covers. this is a compliation of some of their songs from their first three albums (that were released only in canada)

This disc is outstanding, We grew up listening to this music and its great to see GBS bring it to younger audiences. I've seen them live 8 times and look forward to the next chance to catch them live.

Have seen GBS 3 or 4 times in the Denver/Boulder area (wife takes me to all Celtic events stuff). Combine high energy songs, humor, and great vocals. Last show in Boulder everybody knew Mari-Mac! Chemical Worker's song on Up is my favorite. Great album, very fun.

fast and furious, great and obscure. A bit like irish, but a sound of their own. a bit slow on the ballads.

I've seen these guys at Bumbershoot in Seattle and they are so fun and very cute too! I've yet to check out their import albums, but they are worth checking out! The combination of music and lyrics is hand-clapping fun and very infectious. You can't help but smile. I highly recommend this album!
