Author J.P. Ruiz is the father of four children, two beautiful girls and two wonderful boys. He is married to the most beautiful and gracious woman in the world, Esmeralda Ruiz (Emmy). Emmy is also a partner as she edits all his books. Ruiz is a disabled veteran of the Gulf War. He worked as a Law Enforcement officer for over ten years where he specialized in crimes against children. He investigated cases of child neglect and abuse. God has given him a heart to minister to children through his books. Ruiz currently serves on the ministry team for his church's children's program.
