Jasmine, a young Native American girl, lives in an orphanage and wishes she could go from one fun thing to the next without having to move very much. She's not sure why, but she likes Bobby James, a former teacher, who is trying show her how to appreciate the outdoors. She becomes very close to his tracking dog, Indygo, and agrees to learn to track people.
About the Author
The author, W.H. Kangas, is a retired teacher. He and his dog, Indygo, spend six months on the east coast of Florida in the winter and six months in the northwest Georgia mountains in the summer.
