About the Author

Barbra A. Ilten has lived most of her life in the midwest, where she began writing at the age of 15. She finished her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa and a Masters Degree in Religion at Wartburg Seminary. She's worked in the fields of social work, addiction counseling, management consulting and training, and served as a minister along with her husband Jay in a parish in Iowa. After publishing two book of poems, and several short stories, she retired to devote herself to full time writing and is currently working on her second novel. Secret Oath has been the culmination of a lifetime ambition - her first full length novel.
