Overview

Produced by New York-based singer/songwriter Mindy Smith, Songs for Shelter Me is a compilation of songs inspired by the PBS animal shelter series Shelter Me, for which Smith wrote the theme song. She enlisted a variety of different indie artists to contribute songs with a hopeful or inspiring message to this warm-hearted collection which will donate a portion of the proceeds to help relocate pets from overcrowded shelters to places where they are more likely to be adopted. In addition to Smith's "Shelter Me" theme song are tracks by Maggie Eckford, Amy Stroup, Kris Allen, and Matthew Perryman Jones, among others.
