Overview

This is a poetry collection that embraces the playful, evocative and rhythmic nature of music in its words. It's title is inspired by a Fantasy author, who is very well respected and admired by the writer. In his follow up to his award-winning poetry collection "Life, Sex & Death", David Ellis has selected another series of poems that focus on inspirational and love/romantic values, imbuing them with a real sense of purpose to fire up the reader's imagination, along with giving them hope, courage and strength.Explore a myriad of poetic styles and themes that evolve into emotional experiences that we can all relate to on many levels. In this eclectic collection, David delves into a mix of sensual free-form / free verse pieces and more traditional forms, such as Haikus, Lunes, San Sans, Sestinas, Tritinas, Abacedarians, Shadormas, Lais, Kyrielles, Sonnets, Kennings and others (even a Golden Shovel poem inspired by The Raven / Edgar Allan Poe!)Enjoy the poems shared within, for many will strike a chord and give you a tune to call your own.

About the Author

I am an award winning author of poetry, fiction and music lyrics. I have been writing poetry and music lyrics for years. My debut poetry book "Life, Sex & Death - A Poetry Collection Vol 1" is an International Award winning volume, having won an award in the Readers' Favorite 2016 Book Award Contest for Inspirational Poetry Books. I've collaborated with poets internationally and edited poetry for a variety of people who constantly praise me for helping them to improve the flow and rhythm of their pieces. My weapon of choice is humour and I use it as often as possible, as it gets me out of trouble. Think of me like the thriller genre in that I am fast paced, relentless and impossible to put down! I reside in Tunbridge Wells, Kent in the UK.
