About the Author
Author Phyllis J. Perry has published more than seventy books of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction for children and adults. Among her award-winning books are It Happened in Rocky Mountain National Park (for adults), Pandas' Earthquake Escape (children's picture book), and The Ghost in the Music Room (children's fiction). Her newest books are Sticks and Stones: 39 Fun and Easy Games from Around the World (Red Chair Press) and Speaking Ill of the Dead: Jerks in Colorado History. Perry grew up in California, attended the University of California at Berkeley, and earned her doctorate at the University of Colorado, Boulder. A former educator, Perry now lives in Boulder, Colorado.
