The stunning debut novel from one of the most creative artists of our generation, Bobby Hall, a.k.a. Logic.

“Bobby Hall has crafted a mind-bending first novel, with prose that is just as fierce and moving as his lyrics. Supermarket is like Naked Lunch meets One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest—if they met at Fight Club.”—Ernest Cline, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Ready Player One

Flynn is stuck—depressed, recently dumped, and living at his mom’s house. The supermarket was supposed to change all that. An ordinary job and a steady check. Work isn’t work when it’s saving you from yourself. But things aren’t quite as they seem in these aisles. Arriving to work one day to a crime scene, Flynn’s world collapses as the secrets of his tortured mind are revealed. And Flynn doesn’t want to go looking for answers at the supermarket. Because something there seems to be looking for him. A darkly funny psychological thriller, Supermarket is a gripping exploration into madness and creativity. Who knew you could find sex, drugs, and murder all in aisle nine?

i haven't willingly read a book in over a decade but was excited that someone i love was creating a book that had seemed to have an interesting story line to it. i eagerly waiting for the release date and when it came, i skipped class to go purchase the book. as soon as i got home i started reading. i finished reading supermarket only a few hours after starting it and was truly left speechless. bobby’s level of creativity and attention to detail are unmatched. any negative feelings i had about reading disappeared when i closed the book. not only did bobby create a fascinating story filled with so many twists and turns, he created a love for reading that i didn't even know i had. i'm excited to start branching out and reading new stories. i'm excited for all the future literature bobby creates. want to thank him for sharing it with the world. it's a beautiful story with a beautiful message.

Incredible. I read this book in 48 hours and i just couldn't stop reading. It was amazing. I love logic and his lyrics connect with me and so did his book in the form of anxiety, stress, pressure and the loss of love. He is an amazing author and i definietly recomend this book as well as listening to logic's songs if you don't ready. This book covers some deep stuff that is explained and writen about perfectly. It was truely amazing and a must read.

I became a fan of Logic more than a half decade ago, after coming across his 2011 mixtape "Under Pressure." In my opinion he solidified his position in Hip-Hop as a very captivating story teller, and detailed composer of music. With that said, this book is nothing close to captivating. "Supermarket" does an okay job bringing attention to mental illness, the premise of the story's climax is created due to mental illness, but does not address a realistic portrayal of cognitive disorders. I don't have a problem with the plot of the story though, I'm more disappointed with the lack of memorable moments in the book, and the congestion of dull characters. Moral of the review, here's a guide on aiding your decision of purchasing this book or not: -If you enjoy the mediocre TV shows Netflix spews out to cash in on unimportant current events and are a logic fan, BUY. -If you keep up on Logic's work, meaning you don't fanboy over ever song he puts out but instead enjoy some, dislike others...PASS -If you don't know who Logic is, and are looking for memorable story on par with great works like catch-21, Vonnegut, etc...HARD PASS

Really amazing to see Bobby become an author and create a new world for the Rattpack to get lost in. Logic always working on something new and I'm really excited for him to drop a second which he said is was going to be about science fiction my favorite genre so I'll be waiting for that to come. In the mean time read Supermarket share it and spread the word. Peace, Love, and Positivity!!!!

I loved this book so much. I cried twice throughout the whole book and I was shook, if you will, a number of times. I'm not much of reader to be honest but I love Bobby so much I just had to read this and I'm so glad I did! Seriously, once you read one chapter you literally just want to keep going and going. It took me two days to finish the book. I haven't finished my health homework yet because I had to "Finish the book!" I loved it so much. It's really now one of my favorite books. If you're thinking about buying this book, DO IT. If I haven't said it enough times, I loved the book. Peace, love, and positivity. 11/10 would recommend. #Flia forever!! (if you know, you know)

You will need a psychiatrist if you read this book. It's a mix of "One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest" and "The Sixth Sense". Very entertaining!! I gave it four stars because although good, the author is no Amor Towles.

I haven't really been intrigued by a book in years. I'd buy them, read a few chapters and never finish it. im a big fan of Logic's music and his whole self in general so i had to get this book right away. first chapter in and im already hooked. i basically binge read this book, kind of a slow reader but id take the book everywhere with me. highly recommend it , if you're ready to have your mind blown.

All-in-all it was a decent plane read, quick and easy. Predictable in many parts, but a good overall storyline. TwilightZone feel. Interesting debut writing, with serious mental health undertones.

Highly Recommend. Please pick up this book and read it if you haven't. Whether you are a fan of Bobby Hall's entertainment work as "Logic"or not. This book brings light to issues in society such as anxiety, depression and race. Those of us that may not suffer from these issues can mentally and physically feel what it would be like to suffer with these mental illnesses. Part one of the book seems as if there is sunshine in the main character Flynn's life. Things start off pretty rainy and gloomy for Flynn based off of events that have happened in the past, but in order to escape those gloomy, rainy days he finds and works at the supermarket to bring a little bit of sunshine to his rain, and things are looking up. Part two of the book becomes the dark truth of a rainy / sunshine day for people. We don't know if the sunshine is going to come out again. We hope and want it too really bad, but we just don't know. We feel Flynn's struggle with himself and other characters, and feel him trying to break through mentally. Bobby is able to write in a way to make the reader feel as if they are Flynn going through depression and anxiety while reading this book. Even if you don't suffer from these issues. You become the struggle that the charter Flynn has to face with and you feel as if you mentally and internally are fighting the same internal and mental fight as the character.

I was blown away by the end of this novel...I read over 100 pages in one day after not reading a book in over 2 years. I'm a huge Logic fan and when hearing he had a book being published I purchased it that same day. That day was 2 days ago and I already finished. While being sort of predictable at times, the second half of this novel keeps you guessing what's going to happen next and I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. It's a helluva good time.

A brilliant book that almost could be mistaken for a true memoir of Flynn's life. Bobby (a.k.a. Logic) has great creativity that continues to be made manifest in his music and now this novel.
