Kids all over the country cheered for the two boys who set out to free abused neighborhood dogs in Mrs. Moser’s first book, Over the Fence. Now she’s back with five new tails, ehm, tales, that will have you cheering again! Follow along with a dog who was left to have puppies on the side of the road as she and her puppies find their way from the woods into loving homes. Get to know Cornelius, a donkey who was bullied by humans and other animals before he was found by people who truly understood and loved him. Read about Alan, a war veteran who rediscovers himself after receiving a dog, and find out how you can be like two little girls who bravely stepped forward did to help dogs and cats in their communities.

About the Author

Mrs. Moser was born and raised in Maryland. She graduated from Towson University and recently retired from her teaching career (mostly first and fourth graders). Throughout her life, she has taught in West Virginia, Minnesota, Florida, and on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico. She now lives with her husband and their dogs in the house where she grew up. She has two sons, a stepdaughter, and five adorable grandchildren.

Mrs. Moser belongs to and supports many animal welfare and rescue organizations. She has always loved animals, especially dogs, and is very concerned about the needless suffering many of these innocent creatures endure. Mrs. Moser wrote this book because she believes that if children are educated about animal abuse and neglect early in life, they can help stop the suffering. She feels that because children are usually deeply empathic, they can make a difference when they become aware of problems.
