The Memoirs of a real-life Ad-man covering 1940 (when he was born in early days of the War) though to his current 75th year - and still working!

A career that covered half the world, and most of the roles, including finally as Professor of Marketing for European Business Schools and United Business Institutes in Brussels, which wasn't bad for the second son of a single parent household who left school at 15 years old.

The book is an insightful, often humorous look at the changes of the industry, tools and even society over a period of 75 years.

About the Author

Norm Clark was born in Slough just outside London, in 1940, soon after the War started. He was the second son of a single parent family and left school at 15 years old.

Life and chance threw him lifelines and opportunities to 'see the world' and he lived and worked in Britain, Malta, Australia, Belgium, Bahrain and the Gulf States, Hungary, Estonia and Latvia before settling in France, where he now lives.
In his career he has been a travelling display installer, a publicity assistant, a graphic designer, copywriter, advertising agency head, marketing consultant, onto Professor of Marketing with European Business Schools, and internationally recognised Lecturer.
He now spends semi-retirement producing book collections of his favorite subject - old posters, which can all be found on He also takes time out to paint old cars, and create illustrations of the many villages close to his home in France.
