Overview

It's the most wonderful time of the year! This season, Christmas songs, tinsel, bells, and bows are everywhere. They're there for all to see.But what about the very first Christmas? What would you see if you were walking around Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago? I can't promise tinsel, bells, and bows, but there will be music. In fact, it's the first Christmas song, sung by a host of heavenly angels. Did you know that Noel means "the first Christmas song?"Take those shoes off, and come join me as we travel through the hills of Judea. Come be a part of an eternal battle for truth in the small town of Nazareth. We'll pass through the historic city of Jerusalem on the way to a stable where the real journey of faith begins for us. I know you're thinking, "Really? Another Christmas book? I already know this story!"Maybe you think you do, but through the "Revdeb version," your toes sink into the sands of time, and your head becomes one with your heart.Zechariah and Elizabeth, Mary and Joseph, a road trip, and the face of the forgotten shepherds will come alive for you in a way only God can deliver. Are you ready? Then journey with me to Bethlehem, for a Savior has been born.

About the Author

Reverend Debbie Drost
In June of 2002, God called me into ministry. It was six years later, in May of 2010 that God asked me to step out of the mainstream denominational church and begin a new church for him.
My conversation with God began the same way Moses's did thousands of years ago on Mount Horeb, "take your shoes off little girl," (Revdeb version) and ended with me repeating everything Moses said when God asked him to set the Israelites free.
I am not worthy. I am not as educated as so many others. What if I preach something wrong?
God told me something then, that has grown into a passion for me. He said "Just tell the story. Stick to my word, and you will be fine."
Those words, "Just tell the story," have led me down a path that has brought myself and others closer to Jesus.
From these stories and the love God has for this Mississippi barefoot pastor, the "revdeb version" was born.
