NO STONE UNTURNED .. that's the name of the brand new detective agency run by Lee and Jo ... two women who have a knack for finding lost people. Now if they could only get some clients .. oops, spoke too soon. Their first client walks through the door, claiming her adult son (Jack) is missing and she has no idea where he is. The ladies sense something off, but it is a paying customer after all. They do due diligence and start looking .... and then run into all kinds of things. His former roommate takes them to be drug dealers. So was Jack into selling drugs for a drug lord? Finding a lot of money bundled into new pairs of socks, Lee and Jo start wondering what they are in for. But "mom" isn't who she says she is .... actually, several people are not who they say they are. But these two are determined, if nothing else. They don't stop even when the danger is much closer than they realized. This is a debut novel which really took me by surprise. It is well written with characters that have stayed in my head. I love how Lee and Jo relate to each other, especially as they are so different. It's a fun, entertaining read which had me chuckling out loud in the middle of the night. I do sincerely hope this becomes a series .... there seems to be no end to what kind of cases these two investigators can take on as they get more experience. One of the brightest spots I found was when Lee takes a car out for a test drive in order to question the car salesman. No need to tell him that she has no driver's license and friend has only taken her out a couple of times to teach her how to drive. What eventually happens is absolutely hilarious. Rates 5 stars because it was so entertaining, yet has a suspenseful mystery to solve. Many thanks to the author / TBC Reviewer Request Group for the digital copy of this crime fiction.
