About the Author
Frank Taucher was born and raised in California. His family tree originated from what is now Slovenia.
He excelled in sports and academics and his athletic and academic prowess gave him options and scholarships to many universities in California including Stanford, UCLA and other states. He chose Oklahoma State University where he majored in Agricultural Economics and statistics and there met his wife Donna in 1970.
They married in 1972 and after spending their 1st years in Ohio moved to Tulsa where they raised their family with 2 children, Jason and Jamie.
Frank was a very successful stock and commodity broker with several different brokerage firms and started studying weather patterns, Fibonacci numbers, and different natural cycles that he noticed guiding the markets. His research was the catalyst for writing his first stock and commodity trading manual called The Supertrader's Almanac (originally the Commodity Trader's Almanac) and continued writing the manual each year until his death.
Frank had an relentless lust for trying to figure out cycles and patterns in the commodity, bond and stock markets and that is what prompted his idea for The Equation.
He continued to write and market his books and newsletters and study the markets in the years to come until his untimely death of a heart attack on June 12,1999 one day before his 61st birthday. Unfortunately his extensive research died with him.
Michael Vance was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was first published in The Professor's Story Hour chapbook at the age of eleven. He has been published in dozens of magazines and as a syndicated columnist and cartoonist in over 500 newspapers. His history book, Forbidden Adventure, The History of the American Comics Group, has been called a "benchmark in comics history". It was reprinted in Alter Ego magazine #s 62 & 63.
His magazine work has been published in seven countries, and includes articles for Starlog, Jack & Jill and Star Trek, The Next Generation.
R. A. Jones is a native of Oklahoma (originally Indian Territory) where he still resides. R. A. has been a freelance writer and editor for the past thirty years. His credits include newspaper and magazine columns, articles and short stories. He has been a movie reviewer and commentator in newspapers and on radio. He assisted actor Gary Lockwood (Star Trek; 2001: A Space Odyssey) in the writing of Lockwood's autobiography, 2001 Memories: An Actor's Odyssey.
