Inspired by the brave women of WWII, this is a moving and powerful novel of friendship, love and resilience.

A story of love not a story of a war

A daring WWII pilot who grew up among the clouds, Juliet Caron’s life was one of courage, adventure – and a love torn apart by war. Every nook of her Cornish cottage is alive with memories just waiting to be discovered.

Katherine Henderson has escaped to Cornwall for Christmas, but she soon finds there is more to her holiday cottage than meets the eye. And on the eve of Juliet’s 100th birthday, Katherine is enlisted to make an old lady’s final Christmas wish come true…

About the Author

Melanie Hudson was born in Yorkshire in 1971, the youngest of six children. Her earliest memory is of standing with her brother on the street corner selling her dad's surplus vegetables (imagine The Good Life in Barnsley and you're more or less there).
After running away to join the British armed forces in 1994, Melanie experienced a career that took her around the world on some exciting adventures. In 2010, when she returned to civilian life to look after her young son, on a whim, she moved to Dubai where she found the time to write women's fiction. She now lives in Cornwall with her family.

Her debut, The Wedding Cake Tree, won the Romantic Novelists’ Association Contemporary Romance Novel of the Year 2016.

I'm reading this on my Nook, and find that the use of grammar and punctuation is so poor that it detracts from the story. It feels like it was translated into English by a non-native English speaker, and no one proof-read it. It's a shame, because it's really a great story otherwise.

The Last Letter From Juliet by Melanie Hudson is a wonderful dual timeline interweaved to give the reader a captivating historical fiction, thrilling, suspenseful, and bittersweet story that is so great to read, time flew from beginning to end. Current day Katherine and WWII Juliet storylines intercept and add to each other with ease. I loved both female characters and both of their stories. So many times one time frame takes away from the other, but this time both women’s stories perfectly fit together. I love this era and I love the ending for both women. It felt complete and satisfying. Great read. 5/5 stars

I absolutely loved this book. I am always looking for stories like this, it is so different. It is filled with wonder, mystery to an extent, and so much heartbreak. It was a real tearjerker. The characters are so real that I felt I knew them all and the Juliet character actually broke my heart throughout. Poor Juliet is turning 100 and wants nothing more than to fly in her airplane but everyone thinks she is too old for such a thing. This is another heartfelt and beautifully written story from Melanie Hudson. I couldn't wait for this book to come out, and it was certainly worth the wait. Once again, Ms. Hudson has crafted a cast of characters you can't help but care for, and a story that is at once heartbreaking and hopeful, raw and tender. I devoured every lovely page. I am not going to go into any further detail other than to recommend this to you. I am sure you will love it as much as I did.
