I'm a fan of the movie and the books! some people said that this book was too short, but i think it's pretty much all you really need to know. if it were longer, it would be too long. i give this book 5 stars because they stuck to the basics. i've read this book so many times i've almost got it memorized!!!

This book was well written, truly a great book, but I must say that it should have been four-times its size maybe 310 pages or so, but other than that, it was all right. I loved reading it, and learning some behind the camera information. I loved it, but should have been much longer, much longer. I believe the author should have added more pictures from the film, and more outstanding interviews with the actors, and Peter Jackson. Also I do believe that Howard Shore should have had a section of his own in the book, the score for the film was beyond great, beyond the best, it was perfection. You thought James Horner, and John Williams were good, Howard makes them all look like rats, other than that, it was all very good. Loved, can't wait till august 6th, the date that will live on forever.

I think this is a great book if you love The Lord Of The Rings. It has information on everyone and it's like behind the scenes that was on telly but it's a book. If you don't have it, Go and buy it. From Gollum

The book was pretty cool, but they made a mistake on page 17 (Seeing Tolkien's World). They call something the Brandywine Ferry. In the books (and the movie) there's a Brandywine Bridge and a Buckleberry Ferry, not a mixture between the two =(

After seeing this movie, it has expanded my imagination beyond anyone's belief. It has shown that such a small thing make a big difference in the World.

this is fantastic! there are great pictures and very good interviews with the actors. all the main actors have a full page picture of them (in case you have favourite, mine is legolas:)) and i loved how they included alot of the information on how they made the make-up and setting designs, a definite mus-have for any LOTR lover.

This is the PERFECT book for LOTR fans!! Especially of Legolas, there's a full page picture of him and Orlando Bloom the guy that plays Legolas in the movie! There's great interviews with the actors and the pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!

I have been keeping up with the production of the film for over a year now and have seen many sneek peek pictures online, but I was pleasantly surpised to find that I actually had not seen some of the pictures in this book. Most impressive is the two page layout of the Rivendell model. Even if you think you have seen it all, this book is worth the money.
