I would recommend the maze runner to everyone. if you ain't scared, you ain't human. when Thomas ups up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. he's surrounded by strangers--- boys whose memories are also gone. nice to meet ya, shank. welcome to the glade. outside the towering stone walls that surround the glade is a limitless, ever made it through alive. everthing is going to change. then a girl arrives. the first girl ever. and the message she delivers is terrifying. remember. survive. run. the maze runner starts when Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) wakes up in a box with no memories of his life or the world around him. the only thing he knows is his name. Thomas then meets gally, chuck, newt, alby, frypan, and Minho. one night Thomas feels like hes been to the glade before and that he needs to become a runner. everthing changes when the first girl in about 200 years arrives with a note saying shes the last one that will ever come to the glade ever again. they find out that Teresa knows Thomas so they start questioning Thomas to see why she knows him. then Thomas enters the maze with Minho. Thomas and Minho run from the grievers which are monsters that guard the maze at night. gally know that Thomas won't let anyone know why he wants to be a runner and try to escape. Minho had a secret map of the maze but the maze its always moving and changing. one night the maze doors open and they try to escape by fighting for their lives. the book ends were they escape to a lab but everyone in their was dead but Thomas some how know them. if you want to know more the scorch trails is the continuation of the maze runner. ]"Thomas shared a bunk with Minho, who insisted on sleeping up top; newt and frypan were right next to then. the staff put Teresa up a separate room, shuffling her away before she could even say goodbye. Thomas missed her desperately three seconds after she was gone. as Thomas was settling into the soft mattress for the night, he was interrupted "hey, Thomas," Minho said from above him. "yeah?" Thomas was so tired the word barely came out. "what do you think happened to the gladers who stayed behind?" Thomas hadn't thought about it. his mind had been occupied with chuck and now Teresa. "I don't know. but based on how many of us died getting here, I wouldn't like to be one of them now. grievers are probably swarming all over them." he couldn't believe how nonchalant his his voice sounded as he said it .] an exerpt from the runner.
