About the Author

Michael is a navy veteran who served from 1999 to 2013, spending his first ten years of enlistment forward deployed. Throughout his service, Michael utilized downtime to write his first novel. Writing and storytelling are crafts he has been honing for over twenty years. His writing began before embarking on his naval career and has continued, while moving into the next chapter of his life. He has since come to settle down in central Kentucky — continuing his work as an Audio Visual Engineer by day, and churning out incredible tales by night. This shift in lifestyle has allowed him time to work on this second novel, as well as other projects he has planned.

Michael considers himself a real-life adventurer. He breathes life into his work by utilizing the real-world experiences he has lived out, truly capturing the thrill, excitement, and discovery of the worlds that he writes about. Whether he is writing about science-fiction, fantasy, or horror, it is the adventure itself that enthralls him, that burrows its way out of his imagination… forcing him to scribble it down before it eats him alive — which has seriously happened at least once or twice.

Now, Michael continues to delve deeper into the art of writing and looks forward to penning his first series, as well as continuing his walk with Christ. Michael feels the closer you grow to God, the more He's going to help you use the gifts He has planned for you…

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5(nlt)

I've been waiting for something to keep my attention and this was it. I simply couldn't put it down. It's the first uniquely original story I have read in a long time. On a scale of one to ten, this book is a borderline eleven.

This book was an amazing read!!! Very thought provoking and fast-paced. There were certain parts when I almost couldn't stop, and it was one heck of an adventure. For a first book from a new author, I was definitely impressed!! The world he paints is very vivid, along with the characters, and in the end I felt like we all actually went on this adventure together. All I can do now is sit and wonder is this the end, or will there be more!?!?!?!?!?!
