Most Helpful Customer Reviews
"The Portfolios of Ansel Adams" is an inspiring look into a world few people have had a chance to see, and countless other will never have a chance to view. These photos bring to life places where we only dream of going to visit, and perhaps places in which we wish we could live, but of course are unable. I purchased this book for my son who is a budding photographer. He is self-taught, but has also found the need to direct his instructors in his college photography classes, from time to time. He finds these photos very inspirational and educational. He has an excellent eye for this medium, yet has been able to understand the direction Mr. Adams has taken. I enjoyed this book exceptionally well as the photos are so compelling that I can imagine myself standing right behind the lens with Mr. Adams.
