Three beloved children's stories come alive as never before on this CD featuring actors Brooke Shields and Stephen Fry with musical accompaniment by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The Runaway Bunny, Tubby the Tuba, and Paddington Bear's First Concert receive colorful orchestral arrangements (by Glen Roven, Herbert Chappell, and George Kleinsinger, respectively) that augment the spoken narration. It's a delightful kid's collection to be enjoyed by the whole family.

Glen Roven's evocative and emotionally stirring violin concerto, THE RUNAWAY BUNNY, colors and complements the classic tale as effectively as any children's book illustration. His themes conjure vivid pictures of the frolicsome bunny, soaring mountaintops, the rollicking big top, and a mother's loving embrace. The music is splendidly served by Ittai Shapira's virtuoso performance and Brooke Shields' heartfelt narration. It is hard to imagine a more successful collaboration. Children will be charmed by this accessible and engaging work, and adults will be increasingly impressed and rewarded with each new listen.
