This bestselling first book in the Tapper Twins series is a hilariously authentic showcase of what it's like to be in middle school in our digitally-saturated world, told as a colorful "oral history" with photos, screenshots, text messages, chat logs, and online gaming digital art.

Twelve-year-old twins, Claudia and Reese, who couldn't be more different...except in their determination to come out on top in a vicious prank war. But when the competition escalates into an all-out battle that's fought from the cafeteria of their New York City private school all the way to the fictional universe of an online video game, the twins have to decide if their efforts to destroy each other are worth the price. In a starred review, Publishers Weekly declared "This uproarious series opener... is packed with both laugh-out-loud moments and heart."

The book is awesome! My school had a author vist with Geoff Rodkey. He was really funny! He wrote "Good Luck Charlie: It's Chirstmas! And learned it was based on a real life expericence with his older sister. He wrote movies like "Daddy Daycare" also based on a real life experiecnce with his son. My school sells the books. I got all the books in the series. Signing out : A fourth grade student.

Once again Geoff Rodkey has put together a very funny book with very good messages, but it is far from a ‘sweet’ book. There is nothing of Goody Two-Shoes in either of the Tapper Twins or their friends. Goodness prevails, yet bullying and public humiliation, plus heartless, thoughtless kids, are shown as part of growing up, (which they are). Although I was personally a bit disturbed by the comparisons made by Claudia to portions of World War Two and the fight with her twin brother, Reese, I know it was done to show her cluelessness. My grandson found them funnier than I did, and fortunately, they were short-lived. The book contains continual laugh-out-loud moments. It is written with relevance and knowledge of today’s families and Middle School temperaments on all levels. My grandson loved it and I loved it. I’d recommend this book to any fifth-grader on up, and it is certainly one that can be read, should be read, by adults. It could be used to open many conversations between parents and guardians who are, hopefully, more in touch with their children than Mr. and Mrs. Topper.
