I read this (in hardcover) as an 11-year-old in the seemingly-forbidden halls of the local secondary school's library. This is THE book to charge a kid's minds with visions of entrepreneurship. There's an eyebrow-raising where-is-this-coming-from bomb plot diversion, which disappears as soon as it arrives. This, I think, is the book's only low point.Excellent book. This book always comes to mind whenever I have to remember how many dozens are in a gross.

This was an excellent book, with plenty of drama and excitement. The basic plot is that a boy and his (girl) friend start a toothpaste business. Along the way, "standard" toothpaste corporate executives try bribery, conspiracy, and other plotting against the two, but in the end, the good guys win. I recommend this book highly, but do think that children should not be writing final exams for their classmates. I also wish that the boy, Rufus, would not be sending notes so much in math class to Kate.

My teacher read it to me, and it was an outstanding book! This author really explains the story in a understandble way, and I appreciate the fact that she makes the story so rich. I loved the book. I hope there are more books like this!

The Toothpaste Millionaire is a great book about a 12 year old boy named Rufus Mayflower that invents better toothpaste. Then he runs through some obsticals trying to turn his toothpaste into a huge business, such as finding tubes and a machine to fill his tubes with toothpaste. I highly recommend this book to children who understand the business industry as well as the Stock Market.
