The bestselling and highly acclaimed Soul Savers series, with over 1 million downloads, continues with Book 6, Unholy Torment.

Alexis, still young and inexperienced, must lead the Angels' army to war. But Lucas, leader of evil on Earth, trumps every step she takes as he orchestrates the beginnings of World War III. He single-handedly turns the humans against the Amadis, and when Alexis tops every country's list of Most Wanted Terrorists, she and her team are forced to go underground to fight this war.

With the help of her people and a group of unexpected allies, Alexis must prevent the Daemoni from taking over humanity, but the Four Horsemen have apparently arrived, bringing the world into the apocalypse. If Lucas is truly the Antichrist, as many claim, then they're all a part of an age-old prophecy of divine providence. But Alexis and her team will do everything they can to stop Lucas and change the world's destiny, even if it means they die trying.

Torment brings us a different Alexis, after losing her mother and grandmother on the same night and becoming matriarch of the Amadis Society (God’s Army on earth), she starts questioning her faith and believes. While we see her soulmate, Tristan, the ultimate warrior created by the Daemoni (Satan’s supernatural followers and servants), become more determined in his believes and fervent faith. Alexis gets desperate when Dorian’s, Alexis and Tristan cursed son, purpose is reveal bringing out the worst of Alexis to the surface, neglecting and refusing to follow God’s plans for the wellbeing of the Earth and every living creature. Kristie Cook blow my senses with this book, and I have to say that after Promise, the first book of the Soul Saver saga, the last two books are my favorites. Her descriptions are so vivid, so full of details, without becoming boring or monotonous, that is impossible for you not feel as one of the characters inside the book. I have to be honest, I didn’t expect the content of the book to hit me like it did. This author has amazing creativity, where sequence after sequence she brings you something exciting without being repetitive. Cook does not cease to amaze me, bringing not only what we have seen in her previous work; romance, intrigue, suspense, sensuality and creativity but also adds action and heartache without taking away from the relationship of the main characters. I must say it was very interesting seeing this two characters kind of switching places for once. Since book one, Alexis and Tristan have had this amazing chemistry and intimacy that was my initial hook towards the books. As their relationship grew, the sexier and the more intimate the scenes. So yes is very satisfying when an author brings more elements into the story, leaving small spaces for those sexy scenes without falling in captivating the reader’s attention.

This was not up to par with the books n the series that I couldn't put down. I kept waiting for the strength of the Alexis in those stories. Hopefully she is back in the finale.

Love love love the series, the last book was so awesome I couldn't put it down I read it in one day. It was the best series I have read ever, and the way it ended is that Kristy can continue this series if she wanted to. I would buy them all because I love her writing.

I truly believe that poor Alexis is more Tormented then the world however @ the end I believe that one might say that Tristen is more tormented then. I cried so many times during this that  I truly lost count however, at end is where I cried the most.. All I have too say is I  am glad I only have to wait  until next month for the final book because it is killing me right now! I hope the final books ends better then this one... During this current book you will see it revolve around the world having to do with  the apocalypse  where  you find Alexis & her team take one step forward only t o be dragged 3 steps back! She is loosing hope & that is never a good thing!  You will see just how much poor Alexis can & cannot handle during this time as well as finding out does she & Tristen loose their son or does he stay? After reading this book it will leave you needing that last book sooner rather then later!

Who's More Tormented the World or Alexis? OMG!! Kristie Cook had not been lying when she informed readers this book was a doozy. Thank God the next and final book Faith comes out in a month, because yikes any reader and lover of this series NEEDS the next book, like ASAP! Sexy Lexy and her crew are up against the apocalypse where nothing seems good or bright in the world. This storyline resounds with the contemporary world in how dark it seems dealing with the wars, death, disease, poverty and terrorism that we face today. So reading Alexis' journey in trying to fight against evil bent on destroying the world through acts of evil, while combating it with acts of good and love is a great way to escape into fiction from reality. Oh and I must absolutely compliment Cook's brilliant writing ability in being able to describe the places the scenes occur to the point it feels as if I'm there. For example there's a scene in London, Oh I love that city, and she describes an area with a McDonald's to a tee. I can personally say I've eaten at that McDonalds, so reading that part I can vouch for Cook's accuracy. It's her accuracy in the imagery that really pulls you into the scene's moment and takes a reader though it so dramatically the reader becomes very enraptured. Especially in an action scene where things get destroyed, people get hurt and stuff happens fast. Overall amazing book filled with many great moments leading up to the *sniffle, end of the series. Truly this book showed readers how much Alexis can take and how much she truly wants and is willing to work at filling the position of being the Amadis matriarch, now that her grandmother and mom are gone. All I can say is I can't wait till the next book, because with that last bit at the end Alexis isn't the only one tormented.   **I received a free copy in return for an honest review**

The best work from Kristi Cook yet!  The beginning of the story is so action packed and will have you gripping your reader tightly. Like all her novels before, the love story is carefully woven throughout the books to highlight Alexis and Tristan while at the same time giving you an action packed fantasy.  Follow Alexis, the leader of the Amadis, and Tristan, the most powerful being on earth who can way every option of battle, as they navigate WWIII in a battle against the Daemoni for their and the Normans freedom.  Will the Amadis son be taken back by the Daemoni? Will there be another heir in the Amadis line?  All these and other questions may be answered, but you will be begging for the next and last installment in the series, Faith, with this shocking ending.
