Darth Vader is learning that being a Sith lord and dedicated father to Princess Leia isn't quite so easy...

In this irresistibly funny follow-up to the breakout bestseller Darth Vader and Son, Vader—Sith Lord and leader of the Galactic Empire—now faces the trials, joys, and mood swings of raising his daughter Leia as she grows from a sweet little girl into a rebellious teenager. Smart and funny illustrations by artist Jeffrey Brown give classic Star Wars moments a twist by bringing these iconic family relations together under one roof. From tea parties to teaching Leia how to fly a TIE fighter, regulating the time she spends talking with friends via R2-D2's hologram, and making sure Leia doesn't leave the house wearing only a skirted metal bikini, Vader's parenting skills are put hilariously to the test.

  • Gives kids a unique look into the "real" life of Darth Vader
  • The ideal Star Wars bedtime story book for little Jedi and Sith across the galaxy
  • Hilariously showcases the ins and outs of being a father in the Star Wars universe
If you loved Obi-123, ABC-3PO, and Goodnight, Darth Vader, this is an essential addition to any kid's Star Wars book collection and is perfect for any of the following book categories:
  • Father Daughter Books
  • Baby Star Wars Books
  • Dad Children's Books
  • Darth Vader Books for Kids

I bought this for my son who thought he was Darth Vader as a 7 year old. Now, with 2 daughters (one, a 3 year old who thinks she is Darth Vader), this was a no-brainer birthday gift as he turned 34!! Those of us who were Star Wars parents back n the 70s will get a kick out of this book..

Got the "Darth Vader and Son" book with this one at the same time. As an artist, a Star Wars fan, and a mom of kids that are also Star Wars fans, I have to say that this is such a fun book!!  The author is very awesome, which makes me want to get more books by him, too! Yes, I will recommend this book as a gift to any one who loves Star Wars!!

In this tale, we visit upon one author's thoughts of what it might have been like if Darth Vader had raised Princess Leia. The story is told primarily in pictures through the teen years. The pictures are very detailed and enhance and/or explain the limited text . Both create a humorous and fun narrative for multiple ages. There are multiple references to the Star Wars movies, as well as, as co-starring role from Luke. Overall, a fun read.

I loved the book. It was cute and adorable. I actually got it as a present for my brother for father's day. He has a 3 month old daughter and I thought this would be right up his alley. I also got him Darth Vader and Son, and my nephews got a kick out of both books. The oldest is just getting into Star Wars right now, and the second oldest is having a lot of fun playing Star Wars Angry Birds games. So they're just coming to the perfect ages to read these types of books. And I would get any other books by this author immediately if he makes more.

Bought this as a gift for my 6yr old since her brother received Vader and Son for his birthday (also a very fun to read). She loves having it read to her and I use it to, in turn, encourage her to read to me.

First I have a few disclaimers - 1. I saw this book at Target and thought it looked cute 2. I have never seen Star Wars 3. Really, the only thing with Star Wars I have seen are Family Guy episodes     For what this is, this book is extremely cute. Funny, with inside jokes and tongue in cheek comics, fans of Star Wars are bound to love this short but cute collection. Now for those who are kind of in a similar boat, there is enough humor and knowledge of the Star Wars Universe isn’t really necessary. One of my favorite scenes is when Leia is holding on for dear life on Darth Vader’s leg. Keep in mind though, the book is extremely short with less than 70 pages of content. Super cute, funny, and above all clever, Vader’s Little Princess is perfect for fans of the Star Wars franchise or for people who just enjoy a really cute and funny read.

The author had to put out a sequel to "Darth Vader and Son"; this is Star Wars, after all. This book is as cute and clever as its predecessor. There are some in-jokes that a non-SW fan would not get, but why would a non-SW fan be reading it in the first place? The artwork is delightful, and the author includes imagery from the prequels as well as the original trilogy (the third trilogy hadn't started coming out yet when this book was published). Vader is an exasperated but loving dad to his little princess, telling her she is NOT going out dressed like that when she defiantly dons the infamous gold bikini (don't worry, it's drawn in a PG-rated way), teaching her how to pilot his spaceship, and fuming when she takes up with that no-good smuggler Han Solo. Definitely a good present for an adult male SW fan who's the father, or father-to-be, of a daughter.
