Overview
Valleys of Neptune features 12 previously unreleased Jimi Hendrix studio recordings --
more than 60 minutes of unheard Hendrix!
Ten recordings were made between February and May 1969, as the Jimi Hendrix Experience set out to create the sequel to their groundbreaking 1968 double album Electric Ladyland.
The album includes exciting arrangements of the classic songs "Red House," "Fire," and "Stone Free," as well as Hendrix's versions of "Bleeding Heart" by Elmore James, Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love," and "Valleys of Neptune" -- one of the most sought after of Hendrix's commercially unavailable recordings.
