The warrior has finally met his match.

Nikolas Danshov is the Mohiri’s finest warrior, fearless and lethal with any weapon. For almost two hundred years, he has devoted his life to keeping humans safe from the demons that walk the earth. Revered by his people, he is a legend in his own time, a warrior undefeated in battle, and prepared for anything. Until her.

On a routine job in Maine, a twist of fate brings Nikolas face-to-face with the one person he had never expected to meet – his mate. Sara Grey is unlike anyone he’s ever met. Beautiful and fiery, she ignites his desire, while her innocence and vulnerability awaken a fierce protectiveness in him. Now all he can think of is keeping his mate safe from the dangers that hunt her, even if she fights him at every turn.

You know Sara’s story. Now read it again, through the eyes of her warrior.

**Warrior is the Relentless trilogy retold in Nikolas's POV. There are new scenes, but it is NOT a continuation of the original story.

About the Author

Karen Lynch is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She grew up in Newfoundland, Canada - a place rich in colorful people and folklore to which she attributes her love of the supernatural and her vivid imagination. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina years ago and was immediately charmed by the southern people but she says she will always be a newfie. Though she loves supernatural fiction, she has a soft spot for Charlotte Brontë and Jane Austen. She is a fan of classic rock, country and classical music but her favorite music is the sound of a good thunderstorm or a howling blizzard. Two of her favorite past times are baking artisan breads for her friends and spending quality time with her two German Shepherds.

Where do I begin? I was a late bloomer to the Relentless Series. I'd heard so many wonderful things about it that I needed to see for myself what brought about the buzz. In April of this year, I set out to binge the series in audio and loved it. What I didn't get to see from Relentless, Refuge and Rogue, I got in Warrior. Not to retell the trilogy, but the Relentless series focused on Sara and her evolving and developing into this strong character who learns about her identity. Early on, she happens to meet Nikolas and both (backstory) their lives change almost instantly. Because Warrior is in Nikolas’s POV, I was able to grasp delve deeper and connect more with his personality. In the series, we only knew Nikolas as protector and at times, overbearing alpha. However in Warrior, we feel his vulnerability and the internal conflicts he has within himself, what he has always known his life and sole purpose to be, and of what is now to come...he hopes. There will be people who will try to compare Warrior with the Trilogy and find Nikolas lacking something. He isn't. The idea that Lynch brings is that Warrior, is in fact HIS POV. The purpose of a POV is to get the inside scoop on what that character was facing emotionally, internally and externally. Nikolas was never a flat character, and in Warrior you get all sides of him; strong, loyal, faithful, nervous, anxious, furious, and lover. The line that describes Warrior and made my love for Nikolas greater was this, “In that moment, I was undone by her and remade into a new man. A warrior still, but a mate and a lover first. And I felt complete.” Warrior was wonderfully told and together all four books are a must for your collection.

I couldn't wait to read this from Nickolas point of view. It did not disappoint. I can't get enough of this series. I hope the little teaser at the end means there is more to come.

Love the book! Some of it was repeating from the previous books but not to the point of distracting or taking away from the book. The author did an amazing job of writing from Nikolas point of view. Definitely worth the read.

Now if you’re sitting there wondering, now why would I want to read or listen to Nikolas’s POV. Since I just read the three other books. Because it’s a must. With combination of Nikolas and the narration by Zachary Webber, it’s perfection. I could listen to Webber narrate the phone book during my commute and I would be good to go. I’m really glad that I listened to Nikolas’s story. I feel that we didn’t really get all of him in the last three books. Because really we were seeing him from Sara’s perspective. There are so many moments, that still made me laugh and tear up hearing it over again. I would think, wow I can’t wait till this happens or this to see what Nikolas was really feeling. Nikolas is really this one of a kind Warrior. The whole time Sara was unsure of how Nikolas felt. But seeing it this way he felt and loved her so much. That there was no reason for Sara to feel so unsure. Overall, I give this Five Boundless Stars. One because it’s a great story and two because Nikolas duh?!

This was a great book, would like more. It had fantasy, action-packed, love scenes but not too graphic. It was edited for spelling and grammar. It's very frustrating when reading a book to find a word, spelled correctly, that is out of context with rest of sentence. Very refreshing to read a book where you don't need a English lesson to figure out what author was trying to say.
