Back in the beginning, the world was still dark. No light and no lightning — not even a spark! No schools and no houses, no playground or park.
Then, wow! All God did was say, "Let there be light!" He called the light "day," and the dark he called "night." The world God created was perfect and right.
Look up in the sky, because here comes the sun! At night count the stars, if you can, one by one. Then gaze at the moon and say, "Wow, God! Well done."
Just look at the wonders that God had in store, Like birds, fish, and tigers, and horses and more! wow! Creatures with two legs, and creatures with four!
And then God made people — a woman, a man. For Adam and Eve were both part of God's plan. They lived in God's Garden. That's where life began. wow!
Now Adam and Eve had the world at their feet! The Garden of Eden held every treat And only one tree from which no one could eat.
Along came the Snake, who was bad as could be. "Did God say, 'Don't eat'? You should listen to me. "That fruit is the best!" And Eve chose to agree.(Continues…)

The Good News in Four Words by Dandi Daley Mackall is an innovative bible story for young children. This book is a unique outreach for young kids, telling the story of salvation using four words, literally. This is a simple yet entertaining way to deliver the life saving message of the bible to kids. The colorful bold pictures will appeal to children as well. There is no picture book like this one. The author, Dandi Daley Mackall delivers an original way to tell the story of the bible. I think the words of this book as well as its message will stick in the minds of young children long after they have read it. I believe parents will also be pleasantly surprised as well. It is important to continue to come up with new ideas to reach the newer generations of children. The timeless lifesaving message of the bible is repackaged in an entirely new and relevant way. As a blogger for Tyndale I received a copy of this book for the purpose of writing this review.
To start with, the illustrations in this book immediately captured my daughter's attention. With bright colors and inviting pictures, your child will be drawn into the story you are sharing. The Good News In Four Words At first, I wasn't entirely sure you could share the gospel with just four words. When I held the book in my hands and turned the pages, I realized these four words are meant to help your child recognize the main points of the story: Wow: God, the Creator loves us. Uh-oh: We have all sinned, and the result ins a broken world and separation from God. Yes: Jesus died for us and rose from the dead. Through him, we are offered forgiveness and a new beginning... if we say yes. Ahh: Saying yes to Jesus gives us eternal life and peace. Wow: As we grow in faith, we'll want to tell others the Good News. I can remember learning from my Junior High Youth Pastor showing us how to draw the gospel on a napkin. That drawing allowed us to share with others that we are all sinners, but Jesus' death on the cross allows us to be connected to God. In somewhat the same way, Wow! The Good News in Four Words is another method in which kids can remember how to share the gospel simply with their friends. I liked the fact that the book doesn't just end with salvation. The author, Dandi Daley Mackall, makes it a point to share with kids that their newfound faith will produce the fruit of the Spirit, and that the Gospel isn't something to then be kept to themselves. It's to be shared with those around them and to be evident by the way they live their life. I received a copy of this book from Tyndale. This review is my own, honest opinion.
